Reading: World War Z

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Before Zed had a chance to reign.
Mankind began using its brain.
With no miracle pill.
Many zombies to “kill.”
Oh, what a lesson to gain.

In review, World War Z gets five half-eaten corpses and a dozen lobotomized zombie carcasses. Max Brooks really did such an excellent job. This is one book that everyone should read. It will definitely give you something to think about before you go to bed!

The Seasons

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

The air has grown cold and the leaves have slowly been changing to red, orange, and yellow. Signifying to me that Fall break is here. As the year wains and the seasons flow by we begin to think of Holidays and our families. It also means it is time to bundled up!

I am working on the next post for h&t. I plan to share some insights, I have gained in my travels and language studies, into the importance of lines in culture and writing. So, be prepared for a small lesson in Japanese kanji, and look forward to a trip down memory lane; as we discuss some better points of the game Hangman. Stay close, and stay warm!

Until then!

In My Time

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Bound by brick and stone,
by power and light.

No ebb nor flow,
wrong or right.

A fortune to find,
hidden from sight.

With a seeker’s spark,
I will claim my right.

Dear Friends

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Welcome to hearts&type. The ideas and mechanics behind the site are still fresh and being thought out. In an effort to create a page you will love to read regularly, I am planning very carefully. I will take all the time I need in order to create a visual style and identity that is easily remembered, but doesn’t distract you from the site’s content. This doesn’t mean I won’t be posting regularly.

When you visit hearts&type, I want you to find something that will better your day. Whether it just makes you smile or drives you to try something new, I want you to enjoy every word you read or image you see. So stay close, eager reader. I will be back soon.
